CREATE A NEW SYMBOL:
Creating a symbol from scratch is just as easy as converting a graphic to a symbol. You create a new symbol by entering Symbol Editing mode. The Symbol Editing mode for each symbol type has its own special stage and timeline.
Create a new symbol from scratch by selecting Insert / New symbol or pressing CTRL-F8 in Windows/CMD-F8 on the Mac. We assign a name to the symbol, select the appropriate behavior, and click. OK. This will bring you to Symbol Editing mode, in which symbols are created and modified.
MISCELLANEOUS RESOURCES:
We will also find on the macromedia site trial versions of macromedia's Dream weaver, fireworks, freehand, director contribute and other programs.
To evaluate these programs, you can download them from WWW.Macromcdia.com/downloads.
FLASH STANDALONE SOFTWARE:
There are few companies that create software that enables you to create stand-alone applications using flash player. The company includes a licensed version of the flash player. There are several flash players such as flash player 6.0 and flash player MX.
Changes can occur independent of or in concert with other changes. For example, we can make an object rotate and fade in as it moves across the Stage. There are two methods for creating an animation sequence in Flash: frame-by-frame animation and tween animation. In frame-by-frame animation we create the image in every frame. In tweened animation, we create starting and ending frames and let Flash create the frames in between. Every frame where something on the Stage changes is a key frame. Frame-by-frame animation increases file size much more rapidly than tweened animation.
CREATING FRAME-BY-FRAME ANIIMATIONS
Frame-by-frame animation changes the contents of the Stage in every frame and is best suited to complex animation in which an image changes in every frame instead of simply moving. Frame-by-frame animation increases file size more rapidly than tweened animation.
TWEENED ANIMATION
Flash can create two types of tweened animation, motion Tweening and shape Tweening.
SET UP AND SHARE OUR COMPUTER QUICKLY AND EASILY
Quickly set up and connect all the computers, printers, devices, and an internet connection in our home with the all new Network Setup Wizard. Sharing a computer with others has never been easier; quickly access our personal files and accounts without having to close applications or the computer.

EASY TO USE
The clean, simple design of windows XP professional puts the feature we use most often at our fingertips, helping we find them quickly.
WORK FROM ANYWHERE
The Remote Desktop feature found only in windows XP Professional allows us to remotely access our PC running Windows XP Professional, from another Windows-based PC, so we can work with all of our files and applications while away from our office or home PC.
RECOVER EASILY FROM PROBLEMS CAUSED BY SYSTEM OR APPLICATION CHANGES
If something goes wrong with our computer, we can easily remove and roll back any system or application changes without losing files other and other valuable information.
.......
In motion tweening, we define properties such as Position, size, and rotation for an instance, group, or text block at one point in time, and then we can change those properties at another point in time. We can also apply a motion tween along a path. See tweening instance, group, and type and tweening motion along a path.
In shape tweening. we draw a shape at one point in time, and then we change that shape or draw another shape at another point in time.
Flash interpolates the values or shapes for the frames in between. Creating the animation. Tweened animation is an effective way. to create movement and changes over time while minimizing file size. In tweened animation, Flash stores only the values for the changes between
frames.
......
To quickly prepare elements in a document for tweened animation, distribute objects to layers. We can apply tweened animation to an object on a mask layer to create a dynamic mask

USING THE TIMELINE
The Timeline organizes and controls a movie's content over time in layers and frames. The most important components of the Timeline are frames, layers, and the play head.
We can control the Timeline by changing the display of frames and by dragging it from the main application window, separating it into its own window, or by docking the Timeline to any side of the application window.
When there are more layers than can be displayed in the Timeline, scroll bars are available to the right of the layer time strips.
To move the Timeline:
Drag from or double-click the area above the time ruler. Drag the
Timeline window to the edge of the application window to dock it. Press Control to prevent the Timeline from docking.
To lengthen or shorten name fields:
DRAG THE BAR SEPARATING THE LAYER NAMES AND THE TIMELINE.
We can draw and edit objects on one layer without affecting objects on another layer. In addition, you can use special guide layers to make drawing and editing easier, and mask layers to help we create
To increase or decrease the number of layers displayed when the Timeline is docked.
Drag the bar separating the Timeline from the Stage area.
LAYERS OVERVIEW
We can think of layers as transparent sheets of acetate stacked on top of each other. Where there is nothing on a layer, when we create a
new Flash movie, it contains one layer. We can add more layers to
organize the artwork and animation in your movie. The number of layers
we can create is only limited by your computer's memory, and layers do not increase the file size of your published movie.
sophisticated effects. Use separate layers for sound files and actions. This helps us to find all your actions and sounds quickly when we need to edit them.
When we create a new layer, it appears above the selected layer. Newly added layers become the active layer.
TIPS AND TECHNIQUES
Flash Action script brains are abundant. It is through their designs and implied answers to technical questions that we will learn new techniques and further our knowledge as flash designers and developers has.
FLASH ANIMATION
Animation is one of the main staples of flash. The thing about flash animation is that there are so many different ways we can create it. There are thousands of sites out there with great flash animation.
Visual effects such as wipes, fades, zooms and dissolves are available in most authoring packages and some of these can be used for primitive animation.
....
Flash animation is an object actually moving across or into or out of the screen. The series of frames in between the key frames are drawn in a process called Tweening.
AUDIO
...
Since flash is the ultimate in multimedia it would be pretty boring if weren't capable of incorporating sound. If you are new to flash, we may need a little help figuring out where to go to get loops and sound effects.
Although sound sources are just too numerous to mention, here are a few suggestions to get you pointed in right direction.
.....
IMPORT AUDIO
The following sound file formats can be imported into flash: · AIFF (.aif)
· WAV(.wav)
· MP3 (.mp3)
We can import the following additional file formats in to f1ash
if we have quick time 4 installed on your system.
* Sound designer II (Mac)
* Sound only quick time movies (win and mac)
* Sun AU (mac)
* System 7 sounds(mac)
CREATE SYMBOL
Create and edit shapes, merged drawing objects. A symbol can be created from an element already on stage or from scratch on the symbol editing stage.
VIDEO
.....
-.
Motion video is the element of multimedia that can draw gasps from a crowd at a trade show or firmly hold a students interest in a computer based learning project.
Digital video is a powerful tool for bringing computer users closer to the real world. It is an effective method for delivering project to an audience raised on screen.
If we control the delivery platform for your project, we can get the highest video performance by specifying special hardware and software enhancements.
Video compression will allow us to work with full screen and full motion video.
IMPORT VIDEO
We can import the video files in the following formats
quick time(.mov)
digital video(.dv.,.dvi)
MPEG Movie(.mpe.,.mpeg)
Video for win(.avi)
Flash Video(.flu).
IMAGES
....
.....
Graphic elements can usually be scaled to different sizes, colorized or patterned or made transparent, placed in front of or behind other objects, or be made visible or invisible on command.
ABOUT PALETTE FLASHING
When you work with 256 colors of an 8bit palette, only one combination of any 256 colors can be displayed on your monitor at any given moment.
This palette flashing is a serious practical problem for multimedia designers. Some color techniques to avoid when the destination of your animation is videotape.
. A void using a pattern or mosaic
.Avoid thin horizontal lines
Avoid extremely bright or intense colors that may flare up on a screen
. Avoid some reds that may turn brown on screen.
Make a Simple Motion Tween
......
A is design motion tween can be used on editable and grouped objects, symbols, and text. To tween an object's color and opacity in a motion tween, the object must be a symbol.

a given number of frames. Motion Tweening basically involves five steps:
Creating a key frame at the point in the animation
begins.
Creating and selecting an object group or symbol. Creating a key frame where the animation ends.
Modifying the object's position and other parameters on
the last key frame.
Selecting a frame in between the two key frames and then creating a motion tween by right-clicking (Windows) or CTRL-clicking (Macintosh) choosing Create Motion Tween from the context menu

Text
Design with Text
There are three different types of text in Flash MX
Static text is basic text. It is cannot change.
. Input
Input text is text that allows audience to type in text for applications such as fonts or games.
. Dynamic
....
Dynamic text dynamically.
IS display text that
can be updated
Creating Text in Flash
1. Go to the toolbar and select the Text tool.
2. Set the attributes of the text about to type in the properties
Inspector. Here is set among other things. the color. size. and alignment of the text.
